Mixing Snow, Ice & Bicycles

It started snowing around 12:15pm today, and it's still snowing here in Lamar.  Like the dummy that I am, I decided to ride my bicycle back to work even though there was snow on the ground.  I'm not sure how many inches we are at now, but it's enough to make navigating my bicycle a real chore.  I almost biffed it twice because of the ice underneath the snow, but I managed not to hit the ground. ;-)  This commuter bike isn't as sure-footed as my old mountain bike was, but it's a million times better then my nice road bike.  Those 1/2 inch tires would have probably killed me!  I might actually drive my Durango to work tomorrow if it doesn't stop snowing soon. :-O
